Hello! I'm Laura - a software developer and technical team manager with a solid background in building, supporting, and improving complex systems. I've worked across the full development lifecycle; writing clean maintainable code, improving system functionality and collaborating with teams and stakeholders to deliver practical, user-focused solutions.
I'm a supportive, thoughtful leader who values clear communication, simple but solid processes and space to grow. I've mentored junior developers and helped build a team that learns and improves together. I'm calm under pressure and always open to new approaches that improve efficiency and quality.
Outside of work, I'm a lifelong and passionate martial artist. I'm a qualified instructor and referee in Shotokan Karate. The focus and discipline I've gained from years of training shape how I lead and solve problems; with resilience, clarity, and a steady head.
I'm driven by creativity and a love of all things whimsical! Whether writing, photographing, reading, working on projects, or gaming, I enjoy bringing ideas to life in imaginative ways. I'm happiest outdoors hiking through dramatic landscapes, discovering hidden spots or pausing to take in a beautiful view. I always take a book on my adventures, I love spending slow, quality hours in coffee shops with a caramel latte, reading and journaling.
